The Rick Owens Megalace Geobaskets are listed on Taobao as a pair of sneakers priced at 378 CNY. The listing presents the design with a distinctive chunky silhouette and textured upper that echoes the aesthetic associated with the Owens name, though it is not an official brand item. When deciding whether to include them in your haul, consider checking the seller’s photos against the quality‑control images your shopping agent provides before the item is shipped, ensuring the details match and any potential discrepancies are caught early. This careful comparison can help confirm the condition and accuracy of the product you receive.

What to check in the QC photos
- 1Sole stitching: should be even, no glue overflow at the seam.
- 2Heel alignment: stand the shoe on a flat surface — heel should sit straight.
- 3Logo placement and spelling on the tongue and heel tab.
- 4Size label inside should match the size you ordered (most batches use CN sizing — add ~1 size for EU).
- 5Tongue thickness and stitching — common QC differentiator between batches.
Shipping & customs
Shoes are typically 0.8–1.3 kg with box. Removing the box (mention in seller notes) can cut shipping cost by 30%. Avoid DHL Express for branded sneakers — slower lines see less customs inspection.

I started curating the KakoBuy Spreadsheet in April 2023 after ordering enough from Taobao and Weidian to figure out which sellers actually ship what they advertise. Growing up between China and Germany made the buying-agent ecosystem feel obvious — this list is the shortcut I wish I'd had on my first order.
