Where KakoBuy genuinely wins
1. Shipping line variety for Europe
KakoBuy maintains dedicated lines for the Poland market and a German Tax-Free line that CNFANS doesn't match. If you're ordering into the EU, the choice is wider and the per-kilogram pricing on the EU Line is currently more competitive.
2. 180-day free warehousing
This matters more than people realise. If you're building a multi-item haul over weeks or months, KakoBuy's 180-day window vs CNFANS's 90-day window is the difference between "no rush" and "ship before storage fees kick in". For seasonal orders (winter gear in summer, etc.), this is a real benefit.
3. QC photo consistency
Both platforms do QC, but in my experience KakoBuy's shots are more reliably useful — multiple angles, decent lighting, clear macro of stitching/logos. CNFANS QC is good but occasionally feels rushed during high-volume periods (Singles Day, post-Pandabuy migration spikes).
Where CNFANS genuinely wins
1. The app is just better
CNFANS has native iOS and Android apps with a faster, cleaner UX. KakoBuy's iOS experience is essentially a wrapper around the web app and shows it. If you live in the app between order and arrival, CNFANS is the smoother daily driver.
2. VIP tier program
The Silver/Gold/Platinum tiers progressively reduce service fees and unlock perks like extended warehousing and priority QC. If you order regularly (monthly or more), the effective service fee on CNFANS drops below KakoBuy's after about 6 months.
3. US shipping speed
CNFANS's US Sensitive Line has been faster and slightly cheaper than KakoBuy's equivalent in the past 12 months. If your primary destination is North America, this is meaningful.
Where both agents have the same problem
Customs. Neither agent makes customs disappear and neither platform should be picked on the basis of "this one is better with customs" — that's a function of your country's customs authority, not the agent. Both can mis-declare values for you, but doing so puts you legally at risk and shifts seizure consequences entirely onto you. Read the country-by-country customs guide before basing your choice on this.
Common claims that are mostly nonsense
- "CNFANS doesn't do QC properly" — outdated. They've caught up since 2024.
- "KakoBuy is slower than CNFANS" — depends entirely on the shipping line you pick, not the agent.
- "CNFANS hides fees" — they show fees at checkout. The historical complaint was about the warehouse handling fee structure, which has since been simplified.
- "KakoBuy is just a Pandabuy clone" — false. Different parent company, different warehouse infrastructure. The community migration from Pandabuy after its 2024 shutdown went to both KakoBuy and CNFANS in roughly equal share.
My personal pick (with caveats)
For my use case — Europe shipping, multi-item slow-build hauls, a habit of pausing and resuming orders — KakoBuy wins on the warehousing window and the EU shipping lines. For someone who orders monthly to a US address and lives in the agent's app, CNFANS would probably win.
The two-agent strategy is also valid: use whichever has better QC and pricing for the specific items you want. There's no rule that says you have to pick one.

Can I use the same spreadsheet for both agents?
Sometimes. Many spreadsheet entries point at Taobao/Weidian/1688 product URLs, which any agent can fetch. But each agent's referral system requires the link to be in their format — KakoBuy links work on KakoBuy, CNFANS links work on CNFANS. The product URL underneath is the same.
Do KakoBuy coupons work on CNFANS?
No. Coupons are platform-specific. Each agent runs its own promotional calendar.
Which one is safer for first-time buyers?
Both have similar protection: PayPal for chargeback, QC photos before international shipping, dispute mediation. The safer-first-order play is to start small (under €50), use PayPal, and order non-trademarked items to keep customs risk minimal — regardless of which agent you pick.
