The Rick Owens Abstract Beetle 2 Styles sneakers listed on Taobao are priced at 595 CNY and feature a distinctive design that echoes the aesthetic of the Rick Owens brand without being an official product. The listing shows the shoes from multiple angles, allowing you to gauge the overall look and details. When deciding whether to include them in your haul, it is advisable to have your shopping agent compare the seller’s photos with quality‑control images taken before shipment, ensuring the item matches the online representation. This careful verification can help avoid surprises and confirm the condition of the sneakers.

What to check in the QC photos
- 1Sole stitching: should be even, no glue overflow at the seam.
- 2Heel alignment: stand the shoe on a flat surface — heel should sit straight.
- 3Logo placement and spelling on the tongue and heel tab.
- 4Size label inside should match the size you ordered (most batches use CN sizing — add ~1 size for EU).
- 5Tongue thickness and stitching — common QC differentiator between batches.
Shipping & customs
Shoes are typically 0.8–1.3 kg with box. Removing the box (mention in seller notes) can cut shipping cost by 30%. Avoid DHL Express for branded sneakers — slower lines see less customs inspection.

I started curating the KakoBuy Spreadsheet in April 2023 after ordering enough from Taobao and Weidian to figure out which sellers actually ship what they advertise. Growing up between China and Germany made the buying-agent ecosystem feel obvious — this list is the shortcut I wish I'd had on my first order.
