How to Use KakoBuy — Step-by-Step Tutorial (2026)

Step 1: Create a KakoBuy account

Go to kakobuy.com/register using our invite link — this auto-applies the ¥3,000 coupon bundle (worth ~$420).

• Use a real email — order confirmations and QC photo notifications go here
• Phone verification is optional but unlocks the referral credit feature
• Set your default shipping country during signup — affects which shipping lines are shown

Default password setting: enable 2FA. KakoBuy supports TOTP (Google Authenticator). Your account holds real money once you deposit, so treat it like a bank login.

Step 2: Find products

Two paths:

Path A: the KakoBuy spreadsheet (recommended for beginners)

Open the KakoBuy spreadsheet and browse 10,000+ verified products by category (Sneakers, Clothing, Bags, Watches, Electronics). Every item has:

• A working link (verified weekly — no dead URLs)
• Recent QC photos from the warehouse
• Price in CNY auto-converted to your local currency
• One-click "Buy Now" button that adds it to your KakoBuy cart

Path B: any Taobao / 1688 / Weidian URL

If you find an item on Reddit or elsewhere, copy its Taobao / 1688 / Weidian URL and paste it into the KakoBuy link converter (inside your account → "Buy from link"). KakoBuy fetches the product details automatically.

Step 3: Order and pay

Once items are in your cart, check out. KakoBuy charges you in your currency (USD, EUR, PLN, GBP, CNY). They pay the Chinese seller on your behalf.

Accepted payment methods:

Step 4: Review QC photos

Items arrive at the KakoBuy warehouse in 2–5 days. QC (Quality Check) photos are uploaded to your dashboard within 24 hours of warehouse arrival. You'll get an email notification.

What to check on QC photos:

• Stitching quality — even, tight, no loose threads
• Logo placement and accuracy — centered, correct font and color
• Material sheen and texture — does it match the seller's listing photos?
• Sole / hardware — for shoes and bags, the biggest tell of a bad batch
• Tags and packaging — usually present on legit items, missing on poor batches

Your options:

• ✅ Approve — the item stays in the warehouse waiting for your parcel
• 🔄 Request re-shoot — free, usually back in 24h (useful if photos are too dark)
• ❌ Decline and refund — KakoBuy returns the item to the seller, you get refund minus a small handling fee (usually 2–5 CNY)

Step 5: Consolidate and ship

When you have 3–5 items approved in the warehouse, submit a parcel. KakoBuy's system weighs everything, suggests shipping lines, and gives you a quote.

Declared value

You set a declared value for customs. Lower = less tax risk but less insurance if the parcel is lost. Our rule of thumb: declare at 40–60% of real value for most destinations; go full value only if the parcel is insured and you're in a strict customs jurisdiction (EU post- July 2026 rules).

🇩🇪 Germany

🇵🇱 Poland

Same EU rules as Germany (import VAT 23%, duty above €150). Poczta Polska handling fee ~15 PLN.

Common beginner mistakes

• Shipping a single item. You pay minimum weight (usually 1 kg) even for a T-shirt. Always wait for 3–5 items.
• Ignoring QC photos. "Approve all" without looking → guaranteed disappointment. Spend 5 minutes on each.
• Declaring full value in Germany. You'll pay 19% VAT on everything. Unless insured, declare ~50%.
• Picking the cheapest shipping line. Sea lines are 30–60 days. Worth paying $2/kg more for air.
